Unbelievable Netflix documentary ‘so traumatising you’ll wish you hadn’t watched’
A new Netflix documentary which dropped last week has prompted a strong reaction online.
The disturbing and tragic story, told over one 90-minute film, has shocked viewers.
One was so shaken that they claimed on Reddit that they ‘wished they hadn’t watched it’.
Calvinbuddy1972 said: ‘That was my first thought when it ended.’
He is referring to Maternal Instinct – an unbelievable story about a woman named Taylor Parker.

The trailer for the documentary starts with bodycam footage of an officer in Texas pulling over Parker who claims to have given birth in her car.
This moment is soundtracked to the woman calling the emergency services, crying: ‘I need an ambulance ’cause I started having my baby.’
What follows is unsettling footage inside a hospital, where a medical professional says: ‘She doesn’t look like she had a baby.’
Netflix describes the film as ‘gut-wrenching’. It says: ‘Maternal Instinct unravels a woman’s years-long web of deception and the grisly murder it led to, told through the voices of those who lived through it in a small Texas town.’
It warns of ‘sensitive topics including violence, graphic crime-scene imagery, and distressing details surrounding the murder of a pregnant woman and her unborn child’.
In the documentary, viewers hear from people who knew Taylor, including Wade Griffin, a local hog trapper who ended up in a relationship with her.
He describes Taylor telling him she was pregnant after a couple of months, but some things didn’t add up.
On X, more people expressed their horror at the film.
V wrote: ‘I watched this last night: terrifying, demonic.’
Bella was also shocked: ‘I’ve watched over 50 documentaries, but this, this blew my mind. Taylor Parker was a next-level delusional psychopath my goodness!’
The convicted murderer killed her pregnant friend Reagan Simmons-Hancock and cut her unborn daughter Braxlynn from her womb.
During the documentary, there is bodycam footage of the perpetrator performing CPR on the stolen baby.
Parker is one of seven women on death row in Texas, according to the state’s department of criminal justice.
Maternal Instinct is available to watch on Netflix.

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
